Belinda Winter named Most Influential Lawyer for 2024 by Australasian Lawyer

Belinda has been recognised in the ‘Changemaker’ category, which honours lawyers who have demonstrated leadership and innovation, or have acted as catalysts for positive change within the profession, including in areas such as diversity, law firm management and education.

Cooper Grace Ward is thrilled to announce that Belinda Winter, a partner in our workplace relations and safety team, has been named ‘Most Influential Lawyer for 2024’ by Australasian Lawyer.

The Most Influential Lawyer of the Year Awards celebrate legal professionals who have made a profound impact on lives, laws, businesses and government over the past 18 months.

Throughout her 20+ year career, Belinda has earned widespread recognition for her leadership, technical excellence, visionary thinking and innovative approach. However, it is her more recent efforts in addressing mental health issues within the legal and business communities that have seen her take out this award as a ‘changemaker’ in the profession.

Reflecting on her work, Belinda stated, ‘I feel it’s my duty to positively impact our working environment so that our wellbeing can be safeguarded in a way that was not available in law firms when I was coming through the ranks.’

Belinda’s influence extends beyond the legal profession, driving tangible, positive changes across a wide range of Australian businesses and organisations. Her initiatives have established new benchmarks for workplace wellbeing that law firms and Australian businesses strive to emulate.
