Associate
Max provides advice and representation to clients across a wide range of commercial disputes in both state and federal jurisdictions.

As an associate in our litigation and dispute resolution team, Max works on a broad range of matters with specific expertise in construction litigation, corporate governance and regulatory investigations, contractual disputes, and defamation actions.

Max’s experience spans a diverse client base, from individuals to large corporate groups. He regularly collaborates with in-house counsel and other advisers to deliver comprehensive legal support. On larger matters, Max often works as part of a team that involves senior lawyers and barristers.

  • Solicitor – Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia
  • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) – University of Queensland
  • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice – College of Law
  • Complex commercial litigation, for example, working as part of the team in high value litigation in the Supreme Court of Queensland and Court of Appeal for a court appointed administrator.
  • Building and construction disputes, including on major construction projects such as the Cross River Rail.
  • High stakes litigation, for example, in urgent judicial review proceedings commenced against the NDIA for a registered NDIS provider.
  • Regulatory investigations, including matters involving ASIC, NDIA, and government misconduct matters.
  • Defamation claims and disputes, covering pre-litigation steps under the Uniform Defamation Laws as well as litigated defamation actions.
