With both plaintiff and defendant insurance experience, Jermia can utilise her skills and knowledge to achieve optimal outcomes for her clients.

Jermia is a senior associate in the insurance team at Cooper Grace Ward. She acts for a variety of insurers in the areas of workers’ compensation, public liability and motor vehicle accident claims.

Jermia has extensive experience in personal injury claims management and advisory work under the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 (Qld), Motor Accident Insurance Act 1994 (Qld) and Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 (Qld) regimes.

  • Managing CTP personal injury claims in the pre-court proceedings process.
  • Advising on multi-party claims across various personal injury schemes.
  • Advising on liability and quantum issues in personal injury matters.
  • Dispute resolution, including representing parties at compulsory conferences, mediations and informal neogtiations.
  • Progressing claims through pre-court proceedings and litigation stages.
  • Preparing claims for trial, including drafting pleadings and briefing counsel.
