Ellie is an associate in Cooper Grace Ward’s litigation and dispute resolution team, specialising in tortious and professional indemnity claims.

As an associate in our litigation and dispute resolution team, Ellie has experience working in complex commercial litigation, tortious and contractual disputes across both state and federal jurisdictions, with a particular interest in professional indemnity and negligence claims.

She has experience representing a diverse range of clients, including large insurers, government bodies and private individuals, working on high-value negligence and contractual disputes. On larger scale matters, Ellie often works as part of a team that involves senior lawyers and barristers.

  • Complex commercial litigation across state and federal jurisdictions, including matters relating to contraventions of statutory obligations under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), contraventions of the Australian Consumer Law, breach of contract and negligence disputes.
  • Professional indemnity disputes, including claims brought against professional service providers such as tax advisers and solicitors for negligence and breaches of statutory and fiduciary obligations.
  • Insurance disputes relating to wrongful declinature by insurers in professional indemnity cases.
  • Property disputes, including commercial leasing disputes and matters relating to the separation of legal and equitable interests in residential properties.
