Cooper Grace Ward has welcomed several new team members across different workgroups and departments.
Meet some of our new team below.
Bridget Camilleri
Bridget is a senior associate in the litigation and dispute resolution team. She has experience in a wide variety of commercial disputes including large-scale corporate fraud, contractual liabilities, breaches of fiduciary duties, retail leasing, joint ventures and insolvency. Before joining Cooper Grace Ward, Bridget was a senior associate at K&L Gates and, most recently, a commercial advisor at Queensland Treasury Corporation. In this role she focused on project recoveries and managing large-scale client projects, including those relating to extensive business support packages, due diligence of proposed mining activities, asset management support planning and the implementation of State-wide legislative changes.
Diane Coffin
Diane is a special counsel in the property, planning and environment team. She has more than 15 years’ experience gained through legal roles in both private practice and in-house legal departments. She has extensive knowledge of the Federal, State and local regimes governing development and the delivery of infrastructure in Queensland. Prior to joining Cooper Grace Ward, Diane held a senior legal role for 10 years within Urban Utilities, the statutory authority responsible for the delivery of retail water supply and wastewater services across five local government areas in South East Queensland.
Dylan Soutar
Dylan is the new chief financial officer and has recently joined us from Colin Biggers & Paisley. His career has revolved around financial management, reporting and auditing and has deep experience in managing complex accounting systems and methods. In addition to his extensive Australian experience, he has worked with international accounting firms in South Africa and Ireland, as well as a NASDAQ listed digital media company.
Tom Walrut
Tom is a senior associate in the commercial and private client team specialising in tax and revenue matters. He has a passion for all things tax-related and vast experience in commercial and property transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate legal services, giving him a unique insight when advising on tax matters as well as implementing tax structures. He has worked at PwC, Merthyr Law and Norman Waterhouse Lawyers.
