An initiative by the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA), a BFW accreditation recognises organisations that provide dedicated space, time and support for breastfeeding employees.
Cooper Grace Ward commits to maintaining this policy by offering private facilities, flexible work arrangements and clear communication strategies to foster a supportive workplace culture. Maintaining this accreditation reflects CGW’s ongoing pledge to diversity and inclusivity, assisting team members returning to work after parental leave.
According to the ABA, parents who are supported by their employers during this transition typically have higher morale, experience reduced stress, feel able to contribute more effectively and are more likely to return to work after parental leave. In addition, companies that provide support for breastfeeding parents benefit from lower turnover, retention of skilled workers, a stronger community reputation and a healthier workforce.
