Cooper Grace Ward named Inclusive Employer for 2025-2026

Cooper Grace Ward is proud to once again be recognised as an Inclusive Employer by Diversity Council Australia.

Cooper Grace Ward is proud to once again be recognised as an Inclusive Employer by Diversity Council Australia (DCA).

This achievement recognises Cooper Grace Ward’s commitment to inclusion and reflects its continued performance above the Australian workforce average in DCA’s Inclusive Employer Index. The firm’s team inclusion result was 23% higher than the Australian workforce average.

This index measures workforce diversity and inclusion, based on a nationally representative survey of 3,000 Australian workers, including Cooper Grace Ward team members.

Cooper Grace Ward has appeared in the Inclusion@Work Index since 2017 and is proud to be the only Australia law firm to have maintained continuous Inclusive Employer recognition during that period.

Responding to the announcement, Cooper Grace Ward’s managing partner, Charles Sweeney, said the firm has consistently prioritised its workplace culture and was delighted to be acknowledged for its ongoing commitment to promoting a diverse, welcoming and inclusive work environment.

At Cooper Grace Ward, our inclusion initiatives continue to expand and evolve, guided by contributions from our diversity committee, wellbeing committee, LGBTIQ+ support group and Reconciliation working group,” he said.

“Taking part in the DCA Inclusive Employer Index provides us with valuable feedback from our team and helps us compare our inclusion efforts and measure our performance against other Australian organisations.

“We are proud that Cooper Grace Ward is recognised once again among Australia’s leading organisations and we congratulate those who have excelled in fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces.”
