Cooper Grace Ward’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team has been named among the top Australian practices in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific rankings for 2023.
This is the team’s fifth consecutive Legal 500 ranking and signifies their position among some of the most highly regarded litigation practices in the Asia Pacific region.
The Legal 500 independently assesses the strengths of law firms in over 150 jurisdictions globally, with a focus on practice area teams who are providing the most cutting edge and innovative advice to corporate counsel.
The CGW team was described as ‘experienced, intelligent, hardworking, resourceful and efficient’.
Lead partner Rocco Russo was noted as a ‘dedicated fighter for his clients’ and ‘a very strong project manager who does not lose sight of the real commercial purpose to the fight’. Partner Miranda Klibbe was also recognised as a ‘future leader’ who ‘has learned from Rocco’s style of hard but proportionate litigating’.
Further commentary on CGW’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team included:
‘Cooper Grace Ward is a full service corporate firm, not as large as the national firms, but which competes in the same place in terms of matter value and litigation quality. The firm has the capacity to handle very significant building and infrastructure claims, for example, but without the overheads of the very large teams at national firms.
The firm’s technology is well integrated and user-friendly. There is diversity and a deep skill set across the senior lawyers, not just concentrated in the partners.
The key point is that the work gets done on time, and the firm wins results. They take the time to listen to the client’s needs and strive to deliver the best product and service.’
