Cooper Grace Ward has been named a winner of Australasian Lawyer’s 5-Star Employer of Choice Awards for the fifth consecutive year.
The annual accolade celebrates Australian law firms that demonstrate a strong commitment to staff wellbeing and delivering a positive employee experience. Firms are assessed on initiatives and achievements across key areas that contribute to employee satisfaction, including remuneration, training and professional development, career progression, diversity and inclusion, access to technology and resources, communication, leadership, work-life balance, health and wellbeing, reward and recognition, and recruitment.
Recognised in the ‘100–499 employees’ category, CGW was acknowledged for continued investment in supporting team members throughout their careers and across different life stages. Initiatives championed by the firm include a redesigned, gender-neutral Parental Leave Policy, which can be accessed flexibly over 24 months, superannuation continuance during paid and unpaid parental leave, paid keeping-in-touch days, family-planning and IVF leave, and support following miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss.
Flexibility is also embedded as a normal part of working at CGW, with more than 75% of team members using formal flexible working arrangements.
These measures sit alongside CGW’s broader wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives, including a yearly CGW Day for wellbeing leave provided to each team member, an Employee Assistance Program, onsite wellness facilities, yoga and mindfulness classes, and an ongoing program led by the firm’s Wellbeing Committee and its Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Group.
This latest recognition from Australasian Lawyer reaffirms CGW’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive and rewarding environment for team members.
