Cooper Grace Ward is pleased to announce that partner Scott Hay-Bartlem has been appointed to Chair of the SMSF Association.
Effective as of 16 February 2022, Scott will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role of Chair, having practised in SMSF law for nearly three decades.
Scott joined the SMSF Association’s board in 2019 and applied his fresh ideas to matters with a focus on estate planning, administration, disputes, superannuation and tax.
Andrew Hamilton, the Association’s outgoing Chair commented on the appointment in an official press release regarding Scott: “The Association will be well served by having Scott in the Chair for the next two years. Aside from his undoubted legal skills in superannuation, he is one of the most keenly sought-after speakers on the SMSF circuit who continually demonstrates the ability to convey complex messages in a concise, informative and entertaining manner.”
The SMSF Association is the peak professional body representing the SMSF sector throughout Australia, established to continually improve the quality of advisors, the knowledge of trustees and the credibility and health of the self-managed super fund (SMSF) sector.
