Cooper Grace Ward (CGW) is pleased to announce five new promotions, effective 1 July 2016. This includes two partner promotions from within the firm, Kim Calverley and Clinton Jackson.
Kim Calverley has developed strong relationships with the firm’s banking and finance clients. Kim and her team complete upwards of $2 billion per year in loan transactions for financial institutions across eight jurisdictions in Australia.
Clinton Jackson is an integral part of the commercial team and has developed a significant client base of referrers in the areas of superannuation, trusts, estate planning tax and business structuring. Recently listed as a ‘rising star’ in Australasian Lawyer magazine, Clinton also advises clients on an extensive range of commercial and corporate matters.
The firm has also promoted Carly Ashwood to special counsel and Sandra Barry to associate. Carly has been with the firm since 2004 in the commercial team and specialises in not-for-profit, franchising and corporate matters. Sandra joined the firm in November 2015 and has been producing excellent results for the workplace relations and safety team.
Janet Wilson steps into the newly created role of chief executive officer for the firm. Janet has been with CGW for more than 10 years, having served as general manager and then chief operating officer since 2010. Janet leads the executive management team and will work closely with managing partner Chris Ward and the Board to drive the firm’s strategic agenda.
