Cooper Grace Ward has welcomed two new team members to the firm’s commercial team.
Sam Adams has joined the partnership, having just completed a three-year appointment at Racing Queensland, where he was general counsel and, for a period of time, Acting CEO.
With more than 14 years’ experience, Sam brings a wealth of commercial expertise to the team, particularly in the areas of commercial and property law, having acted for the State Government, local government agencies, banks, airlines, developers and property funds on commercial law matters.
Sam also has extensive experience in the areas of commercial negotiations, media rights, licensing matters and corporate governance as a result of his work with both Racing Queensland and Brisbane Racing Club.
Andrew Corkhill also joins the commercial team as a Special Counsel, working across mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate advisory, and energy and resources.
Andrew previously worked with Cooper Grace Ward, before moving to Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Brisbane, and then London where he worked as a Senior Counsel with Eni, one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. Andrew brings extensive experience to the team, having advised on large-scale mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and energy and resources matters both domestically and abroad.
