Cooper Grace Ward Lawyers is extremely proud to be among the winners recognised in Human Resources Director (HRD) magazine’s 5-Star Employer of Choice Awards for 2022.

HRD’s annual award highlights Australian companies’ achievements and initiatives across a wide-range of areas, including leadership, learning and development, wellbeing, flexibility, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, and recruitment. These areas represent the core facets of HR, as well as the new challenges facing employers as a result of the pandemic.

5-Star Employer of Choice winners were from a range of industries from insurance to law services, HR providers, government bodies and professional services.

Neil Baker, Director of People and Culture at Cooper Grace Ward said the achievement reflects the firm’s focus on supporting team members since the easing of the pandemic.

“There’s no doubt that the past two years of uncertainty, economic disruption and ‘general distraction’ has had a significant negative effect on many Australian workers.

“Even though the pandemic has eased, and most of the country is returning to normal, we have maintained a strong focus on policies and initiatives, particularly flexibility and connectivity to support the mental health and wellbeing of our team members.”

“While we are making excellent progress as an employer of choice, we are always looking for ways to enhance the lives of our team members and we will continue to prioritise initiatives that support this.”

The award places CGW alongside leading organisations such as Aurion, Australian Catholic Superannuation and Queensland Treasury Corporation.
