Cooper Grace Ward is proud to be recognised as an employer of choice in the legal industry and is committed to providing a healthy and safe working environment for all team members.
Recognising the difficult situations that victims of domestic and family violence suffer in their work and personal lives, the firm has launched a new policy outlining support for team members affected specifically by this issue.
Managing Partner Chris Ward said the policy recognised the impact of domestic and family violence and the effects this may have on an individual’s attendance, performance at work or safety.
‘The policy is designed to provide multiple avenues of support, as well as lead to improved measures for addressing domestic and family violence,’ he said.
Under the policy, team members affected by domestic or family violence will have access to a range of support options, including paid leave, flexible work arrangements, counselling and support services and temporary adjustments to workplace and role.
The firm’s new domestic and family violence policy joins a comprehensive suite of policies and initiatives that define our award-winning team culture.
