CGW reaccredited as a Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace for 2017

CGW has reaffirmed its commitment to providing a supportive environment for breastfeeding mothers by renewing its Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace (BFW) accreditation.

CGW has reaffirmed its commitment to providing a supportive environment for breastfeeding mothers by renewing its Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace (BFW) accreditation.

An initiative by the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA), a BFW accreditation is awarded to organisations that provide space, time and support for their breastfeeding employees. CGW commits to maintaining this policy by offering private facilities, flexible work options and a clear communication strategy to build a supportive workplace culture.

Accredited since 2009, CGW recognises the need to support team members returning from maternity leave as they attempt to fulfil work commitments and continue breastfeeding. According to the ABA, women who are supported by their employers during this process are more productive, have higher morale and will be more likely to return to work after maternity leave. In addition, companies that provide support for breastfeeding mothers will benefit from lower turnover, retention of skilled workers, an improved image in the community and a healthier workforce.

At CGW, we take pride in fostering a supportive and nurturing work environment for all team, irrespective of background. Click here to find out more about the recognition we continue to achieve for our diversity initiatives.
