Cooper Grace Ward wins Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Award

Cooper Grace Ward is proud to share it has won the Workplace Award (Employee Wellbeing) in the 2023 Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Awards.

Announced at the Queensland Mental Health Awards event held at Victoria Park in Brisbane, Cooper Grace Ward was selected as the winner following its “implementation of a wide range of policies and programs to support the mental health of team members”.

Sponsored by the Office of Industrial Relations, the Workplace Award (Employee Wellbeing) recognises organisations who have demonstrated excellence in the promotion of positive mental health to employees, and supported the inclusion and workplace participation of employees living with mental illness. This includes the implementation of innovative work practices, programs or initiatives.

Throughout the judging process, Cooper Grace Ward was assessed on four key criteria:

  • Promotes social justice and raises mental health awareness in the workplace and wider community
  • Demonstrates flexible and appropriate workplace conditions to support equitable access and retention of employment for people with a lived experience to enter, remain and return to work
  • Delivers best practice programs to promote positive mental health amongst employees and increase workforce participation for those with mental illness
  • Demonstrates qualities of leadership, vision and innovation.

Upon receiving the award, CGW’s Director of People and Culture, Erin Jakubans, highlighted the firm’s longstanding commitment to team wellbeing as a major factor in receiving this accolade.
