Tony is Workgroup Leader of Cooper Grace Ward's Insurance team and practises in personal injuries litigation, specialising in workers' compensation matters.
Tony has over 20 years of experience in managing insurance claims, and providing insurance advice. Apart from workers' compensation, Tony's practice areas have included CTP, public liability and product liability, as well as general litigation.
Over the past decade, Tony has focused on workers' compensation matters, acting for WorkCover Qld and, self-insured workers' compensation clients including Woolworths, Commonwealth Bank, Golden Circle and Mayne Group. Tony has also acted for Woolworths in respect of its self insured public liability claims.
Tony is the preferred workers' compensation legal services provider for a number of large government and private organisations, in a variety of industries, such as Queensland Health (Princess Alexandra Hospital, Gold Coast Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, Logan-Beaudesert Hospital and Mackay Hospital), Spotless Services, Neumann Steel and Dairy Farmers.
Tony also advises self-insurers and other employers in relation to the statutory review process and represents those clients in the Industrial Relations Commission. Tony has special interest in claims involving the Health industry, labour hire claims, pure psychological injury claims, and dust disease claims.
