Cooper Grace Ward starts new financial year with six promotions including a new partner

CGW starts the new financial year with six lawyers promoted to senior positions, including one partner, one special counsel, one senior associate and three associates.

Cooper Grace Ward has started the new financial year with six lawyers promoted to senior positions, including one partner, one special counsel, one senior associate and three associates across a number of practice areas.

The promotions bring the firm’s partnership to 21.

The firm’s newly promoted partner is Miranda Klibbe, from the litigation and dispute resolution practice.

Klibbe has expertise in handling commercial litigation arising from property and contractual disputes. She has a particular interest in property litigation, with experience from working on wide ranging property disputes, including leasing disputes, property sale disputes and disputes involving registered and unregistered interests in land.

The new special counsel is Gemma Sharp.

Sharp advises a range of clients across various industries, including retail, finance, early childhood and education, transport, and religious organisations, on issues such as compliance and duties under workplace health and safety legislation, unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment, the operation of employment contracts and restraint of trade provisions, independent contractor and employee distinctions and award and enterprise agreement applicability and provisions.

The new senior associate is Kathryn O’Hare.

O’Hare specialises in planning, environment and related land use matters and advises on compulsory acquisition, environmental licensing and offences, land valuation, cultural heritage and petroleum and resource matters.

The new associates are Katharine Bligh, Liz O’Connell and Claire van der List.
