Cooper Grace Ward reaccredited for twelfth year in a row as a Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace

We have reaffirmed our commitment to providing a supportive environment for breastfeeding mothers by renewing our Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace (BFW) accreditation.

Cooper Grace Ward has reaffirmed its commitment to providing a supportive environment for breastfeeding mothers by renewing its Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace (BFW) accreditation for the twelfth year in a row. An initiative by the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA), a BFW accreditation is awarded to organisations that provide space, time and support for their breastfeeding team members.

Cooper Grace Ward commits to maintaining this policy by offering private facilities, flexible work options and a clear communication strategy to build a supportive workplace culture. Continued accreditation underpins CGW’s ongoing pledge to diversity, in this case, assisting talented women re-enter the work environment after periods of parental leave.

According to the ABA, women who are supported by their employers during this process are more productive, have higher morale and will be more likely to return to work after maternity leave. In addition, companies that provide support for breastfeeding mothers will benefit from lower turnover, retention of skilled workers, an improved image in the community and a healthier workforce.
