Cooper Grace Ward’s Managing Partner, Chris Ward has been named ‘Most Influential Lawyer for 2021’ by Australasian Lawyer.
The list of Most Influential Lawyers of the Year recognises top legal professionals who have had a deep impact on lives, laws, business, and government over the last 18 months.
Chris was recognised in the category of ‘changemaker’, which showcases lawyers who are strong leaders and innovators, and drive positive change in the profession.
Commenting on the win, Chris said to be recognised is an affirmation of the dedication he has put in over the last 18 months. “I think we can all agree that the past 18 months have been a trying time for the legal industry and business generally, and it’s a true privilege to be recognised in this way. It is also a credit to our entire team who have upheld our reputation for client service during such an uncertain time.”
“Despite the pandemic, we carried on all aspects of the firm, including hiring and promoting team members, celebrating the firm’s 40th anniversary, advancing our diversity and inclusion activity and investing heavily in knowledge, training and technology to better support clients and team members, and to underpin organic growth.”
During this time Chris continued to preside over Advoc Asia and Advoc Global as President and Chair and drove the strategic direction of the organisation through the pandemic’s uncertainty.
