Cooper Grace Ward recently acted for the shareholders of Superior Pak Holdings Pty Ltd in the sale of the majority shareholding to Faun Expotec GmbH, a leading German manufacturer of refuse collection vehicles and equipment.
Superior Pak has grown rapidly since opening as a small business in 1997 to become one of Australia’s leading manufacturers of waste collection equipment. Superior Pak now has several thousand compaction bodies operating throughout Australia.
Rob Wrigley, Superior Pak’s Managing Director, said the move will provide further depth to the company’s business and product range. “New technologies for vehicle drive systems combined with the expertise of both partners in the production of class leading waste disposal and collection equipment will reinforce the strong future ahead for Australian manufacturing and the abilities of our workforce,” Mr. Wrigley added.
The Cooper Grace Ward team was led by partner Charles Sweeney with support from senior associate James McKeon, lawyer Nick Ward and graduate Hannah Westaway.
Charles Sweeney commented on the transaction: “We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this transaction for our long-standing clients. It has been a pleasure working alongside the team at Superior Pak to assist in the finalisation of such a milestone event in the company’s history.”
Mills Oakley acted for the purchaser.
