CGW reaccredited as a Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace

CGW has affirmed its commitment to providing the best support possible for breastfeeding mothers by renewing its accreditation with the Australian Breastfeeding Association.

CGW has affirmed its commitment to providing the best support possible for breastfeeding mothers by renewing its accreditation with the Australian Breastfeeding Association.

As an accredited ‘Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace’ (BFW), CGW commits to maintaining a policy that meets the BFW Preferred Standard, which includes support, facilities and flexible work options.

CGW’s BFW accreditation goes beyond compliance with relevant legislation, ensuring we promote workplace diversity, health and wellbeing and corporate responsibility. Studies have shown that women who are supported by their employers in breastfeeding their babies are more likely to return to work after maternity leave. In addition, companies that provide support for breastfeeding have consistently reported improved morale, better engagement and higher productivity. Rates of absenteeism to care for a sick child are also reduced for mothers of babies who are breastfed, as research shows breastfed babies are healthier.

At CGW, we take pride in supporting our team with flexible work arrangements, and we are proud of the recognition we continue to achieve for our equity and diversity initiatives.
