Annie joined Cooper Grace Ward in 2009 as part of our employment and workplace relations practice.
Annie has 12 years’ experience specialising in employment and workplace relations law. Her considerable expertise includes advice and litigation, focusing on industrial relations and employment law, occupational health and safety and EEO law. Annie has acted for clients in the resources and energy sectors, electrical power and water industry, environmental management and rail, as well as for a variety of State and Federal Government Departments and Agencies, Educational and TAFE Institutes and local Governments.
She has extensive experience in the Federal Court, Federal and State Magistrates’ and Industrial Magistrates’ Court, as well as the Queensland and Australian Industrial Relations Commissions and Fair Work Australia. Annie also has extensive experience conducting workplace investigations concerning harassment, bullying and safety breaches.
As well as working in large corporate practice in Brisbane and Melbourne, Annie has gained considerable experience and knowledge in government/administrative law, representing departments and agencies of the Queensland State Government during her employment with Crown Law (public law and workplace law).
