Annie joined Cooper Grace Ward as a senior associate in our employment and workplace relations team in 2009.

Annie has 12 years experience specialising in employment and workplace relations law.  Her considerable expertise includes advice and litigation, focusing on industrial relations and employment law, occupational health and safety, EEO and administrative/ government law. Annie has acted for clients in resources and energy sectors (Downer EDI), electrical power and water industry (Energex, SEQWA and LinkWater) environmental management and rail (Q Rail, Veolia Environmental Services and THIESS Services), as well as for a variety of State and Federal Government Departments and Agencies (Queensland Health, Education Queensland, South Bank Institute of TAFE, Gold Coast Institute of TAFE, Queensland Institute of Medical Research) and local Governments (Toowoomba Regional Council and Redland City Council). 

Annie has extensive experience in the Federal Court, Federal and State Magistrates’ and Industrial Magistrates’ Court, as well as the Queensland and Australian Industrial Relations Commissions and Fair Work Australia.

As well as working in large corporate practice in Brisbane and Melbourne, Annie has gained considerable experience and knowledge in government/administrative law, representing departments and agencies of the Queensland State Government during her employment with Crown Law (public law and workplace law).

Annie has also worked in a large labour law firm in Melbourne earlier in her career acting for a variety of trade unions (including the CFMEU, LHMWU and the NUW) and has a clear understanding of union and industrial relations issues in the workplace.
