Queensland’s Premier Anna Bligh announced yesterday, 12 February 2009 that land values in certain local government areas would not face revaluation this year. In the affected areas, current valuations date back to 2005. The local government areas affected are:

| Cassowary Coast | Moreton Bay | Townsville |
| Charters Towers | Mount Isa | Whitsunday |
| Croydon | Rockhampton |
To view a map of Queensland by local government areas click here. Various industry bodies have called for a state-wide moratorium on revaluations so that Queensland’s most populous areas were included.
