Health and Aged Care Law

Australia’s health and aged care industry faces significant challenges and funding pressures as demand on healthcare providers and service quality increases.

Cooper Grace Ward supports the health and aged care industry in both public and private spheres. We provide legal advice and support to government agencies, hospitals, aged care providers, individual medical and healthcare professionals, and health industry associations.

Our experience includes more than 10 years of legal advice to Queensland Health. We understand the operation and requirements of Queensland Health at hospital, district, zone and Corporate Office levels.

Cooper Grace Ward is a major sponsor of the Australian College of Health Service Executives (ACHSE) in Queensland. In recent years the ACHSE has grown to become Australia's largest professional body representing health management. Cooper Grace Ward has had strong ties with the ACHSE Queensland branch for more than seven years. The firm has provided legal advice both to the ACHSE and its members.

Our lawyers are also active members of the Medico-Legal Society. This involvement and support of industry bodies ensures our team members are well informed about issues affecting the management and operations of health and aged care facilities.
